LCB Depot's regular family activities day for toddlers to ten-year-olds (and their grown ups) on the second Saturday each month 12-4pm is part of CQ Earlies - free family workshops across Leicester's Cultural Quarter including Leicester Print Workshop, Two Queens, Phoenix  and Curve.

Join us at LCB each month to try out activities including drawing, building, painting, print-making, dancing, cooking, acting, or make music, movies, stories and more

This month, we're part of the Journeys Festival International, in Leicester 12-14 August 2022, which includes the interactive digital game Feed My Emotions:

Plus, Drawing on memories with artist Kendrick Snodin (whose exhibition The Prism of Memory is in the LCB Lightbox gallery space), where you can draw your favourite memories and thoughts on a memory scroll


Make in Minecraft - bring your own devices if you have them

The Little Storytellers are telling the story of the seasons at LCB Depot's garden - completely free, aimed at 2 - 13 years old but fun for all the family.

Brainart UK - regular paper and clay sessions

Phoenix - Paper Planes & Sensors Family Workshop
A free interactive workshop, folding paper planes and learning about microcontroller sensors in Phoenix's outdoor courtyard space.

Leicester Print Workshop - Kamihanga!
Have a go at traditional Japanese print making! Create simple, beautiful images using cardboard packaging and other materials. This is a great technique to explore colour and layering. Suitable for all ages!

Two Queens Studio - Mystery Drawing!
Draw an object from the Mystery Box- with your eyes closed! Most suitable for ages 3+, wear clothes you don't mind getting messy! No need to book.

Curve theatre - Interactive workshop exploring creative ways to incorporate storytelling into everyday family life, led by Mary Bonam. Mary is a Local Actor, Vocalist and Puppeteer as well as Workshop leader and Lead Artist Practitioner facilitating projects with families and young people within Leicestershire and beyond.

The 45-minute workshop includes: fun interactive games, poem creation and character exploration – all with a fairy-tale twist!
