'My inspiration comes quite directly from nature, exploring the boundary between the realistic and the abstract in the forms, colours and textures of the living world. My favourite processes are monoprint and etching, but I am always open to new ideas and practices, aiming always to fit the technique to the subject rather than the other way round. My work is generally on a small scale, and each image is either unique or part of a small edition of less than ten copies.'
