Taking on your first employees brings with it many legal responsibilities and a lot for the new employer to learn. Get it right first time and steer clear of time-wasting problems by learning about all the issues at this industry-specific workshop.

 

Content of this workshop will include:

·        Contracts of Employment

·        Financial Issues: The national minimum wage, PAYE and NI,

·        Looking after your employees: Duty Of Care, Health and Safety, Sickness, Flexible Working, Employers Liability Insurance

·        Policies and procedures: Equality and Diversity, Health and Safety, Disciplinary, Maternity, Paternity and Adoption rights, Redundancy, Training and Development, Data Protection

·        Issues specific/important to the creative sector: Working or freelancing for another employer/client, Intellectual Property, Use of Social Media and Company Reputation

 

 

Creative Business Mentor David James Ross will be leading the workshop. David is an inspirational trainer, lecturer and writer, and has extensive experience running courses for creative businesses.
