Tony Linde : Wrong Way
4, April 2016 - 30, June 2016

On show in our Print Room

‘Wrong Way/Go Back’: The iconic road signs erected at the entrance to freeway exits could serve as a summary of every attempt by Europeans to ‘fix’ Australia.

After a visit in early 2015 to his native land, ex-pat Australian Tony Linde uses
some of his photographs from that trip as a starting point for a series of prints which examine this sense of ‘wrongness’ that many Australians of European heritage feel about how they fit into the land they love so passionately.
