Leicester's Cinquefoil Walk
Leicester’s Cinquefoil Walk follows a series of pavement plaques through Leicester’sCultural Quarter, along
Halford Street, Rutland Street, and Southampton Street and ending at Phoenix Square digital media centre.
The stone plaques, in the shape of Leicester’s cinquefoil, celebrate a number of Leicester heroes, such as
novelist Sue Townsend, playwright Joe Orton, and pioneer travel agent Thomas Cook. The Walk joins the
Cultural Quarter’s Audio Trail and Children’s Trail and contemporary public art as a way of engaging with art,
history and heritage on the street.
See the One Leicester website for more info.
As you follow the Cinquefoil Walk, why not call in to the LCB Depot café/bar Refuel? In between the plaques
for Thomas Cook and Alice Hawkins, cut down Wigston Street to Rutland Street and LCB Depot's front door.
