£120m funding boost for Midlands small firms

The British Business Bank has launched the first £120 million tranche of the Midlands Engine Investment Fund (MEIF), which will improve access to finance for small and medium-sized firms across the Midlands.

The first tranche will provide £30 million of small business loans ranging from £25,000 to £150,000, along with £90 million of debt finance from £100,000 to £1.5 million.

Overall, the MEIF will provide £250 million of investment through small business loans, debt finance, proof of concept funds and equity finance.
