The Creative Industries Federation has published a report which makes a number of recommendations for Government to help support creative freelancers.

The 'Creative Freelancers' report reveals that 47% of workers in the creative sector are self-employed (compared with 14% of the UK workforce as a whole) and that many feel they are often ignored by Government policy.

The federation recommends that Government should support a UK-wide hub which signposts freelancers to specialist business advice and support services, and ensure that creative workspaces can't be changed into residential properties without planning permission.
